For patients: anyone can purchase medicines at any Jan Aushadhi Kendra — no separate eligibility applies. For opening a Kendra: individual entrepreneurs, NGOs, societies, trusts, and firms can apply, with additional incentives for women, persons with disabilities, SC/ST applicants, and Kendras in aspirational or remote districts.
Benefits
Generic medicines priced roughly 50-80% below comparable branded medicines; Kendra owners can earn incentives on monthly purchases, with enhanced support for eligible priority categories.
Required documents
For opening a Kendra: identity/address proof, premises documents, and category-specific certificates (where claiming a priority-category incentive).
