Use our free DNS Lookup Tool to check live DNS records for any domain name instantly. Because this tool queries Cloudflare’s public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver directly from your browser, your searches remain completely private. Furthermore, we never log or store any domains you analyze.

We do not log or store the domains you look up.

This tool sends your input directly from your browser to Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver.

Why Should You Perform a DNS Lookup?

Every domain on the internet relies on DNS records to route traffic to web servers, email providers, and security systems properly. However, when you change web hosting or update email services, misconfigured records can take down your website.

Therefore, website owners use a DNS lookup tool to troubleshoot domain settings. For instance, checking records helps you confirm that your IP addresses, mail servers, and verification tags resolve correctly across the web.

How This DNS Lookup Tool Works

Traditional lookups route queries through backend web servers. In contrast, our client-side utility queries Cloudflare’s secure 1.1.1.1 API directly from your browser through three simple steps:

  1. First, Direct Connection: Your browser connects to Cloudflare’s public DNS-over-HTTPS JSON endpoint without touching our server.
  2. Second, Record Fetching: The system fetches active records including A, AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT, and NS entries.
  3. Finally, Live Display: It presents formatted TTL values, IP addresses, and record values instantly on your screen.

FAQ

Why do my lookup results not match my recent DNS changes immediately?

Because DNS changes require time to propagate across global resolvers. Consequently, Cloudflare’s resolver may still serve a cached answer until the record’s Time to Live (TTL) expires.

Is my domain query completely private?

Yes. Your browser sends queries directly to Cloudflare over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Therefore, VedantKit never sees, logs, or tracks any domain names you search.

Can I query custom record types like NS and SOA?

Yes. Simply select your desired record type from the dropdown menu to fetch specific domain settings instantly.
