How Our Page Numbering Tool Works

This tool draws page numbers directly onto each PDF page at your chosen corner or center position. Furthermore, you can set a custom starting number. Consequently, this feature becomes extremely useful when you merge documents and need numbering to continue from a specific value.

In addition, our tool calculates the actual dimensions of every page individually. Because not all PDF pages share the exact same physical size, this system places numbers accurately on every layout.

If you need to edit your documents further, you can also convert them using our PDF to Word Converter or compress large files with our PDF Compressor.

FAQ

Can I use Roman numerals or a custom text format?

Currently, this lightweight tool supports plain numbers only (1, 2, 3…). However, we plan to introduce custom text formatting and Roman numerals in future updates.

Will adding page numbers alter my original document layout?

No, absolutely not. The tool simply overlays the number onto the existing page canvas. Therefore, your original text, fonts, and images remain completely untouched.

Is my private PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The entire numbering process runs locally inside your browser. Consequently, your confidential document stays completely private. You can learn more about browser-based file privacy standards on the Mozilla Developer Network.
