How This Conversion Works
The first row of your CSV is treated as column headers; every following row becomes one JSON object mapping each header to that row’s value. The parser correctly handles quoted fields that themselves contain commas or line breaks. Every value is kept as plain text — this tool deliberately does not guess that a column “looks like a number” and silently convert it, since that kind of guessing is exactly how CSV tools corrupt data such as phone numbers or postal codes with leading zeros.

Why are numbers in quotes in the output?
Every value is output as a JSON string on purpose, so no data is silently reinterpreted. If you need actual JSON numbers or booleans, convert those specific fields yourself after.
What if a row has fewer columns than the header row?
Missing fields for that row are filled in as empty strings so every object has the same set of keys.
