Enter a number and choose how you’d like it rounded — to a number of decimal places, or to the nearest ten, hundred, or thousand. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you enter here is uploaded, stored, or logged.

How This Calculation Works
This calculator uses standard “round half up” rounding at the chosen place value — for example, rounding 2.5 to the nearest whole number gives 3. The same underlying technique (scaling by a power of 10, rounding, then scaling back) works for both decimal places and nearest-ten/hundred/thousand rounding, just with a different scale factor.
FAQ
How are negative numbers rounded?
The same standard rounding rule applies — for example, -2.5 rounds to -2 using “round half up,” since JavaScript’s Math.round() rounds halfway values toward positive infinity.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
