How This Tool Works
This tool sends a request to the URL you enter from our server and reports its HTTP status code, whether it’s reachable, and how long the check took (including our own server’s round trip — not a precise time-to-first-byte measurement from a dedicated monitoring location). A 2xx or 3xx status generally means the site is up; 4xx/5xx or a connection failure means something’s wrong.

Is this the same as uptime monitoring?
No — this is a one-time check from our server at the moment you click, not continuous monitoring from multiple locations over time.
Why might a site show as down here but work fine in my browser?
The check runs from our server’s network location, not yours — a site blocking a specific region, IP range, or automated-looking traffic could appear down here while working normally for you.
Do you store the URLs I check?
