- Households Below the Poverty Line (BPL) meeting the specific age, widowhood, or disability criteria of each sub-scheme (e.g. old age 60+, widows 40–59, persons with severe disability aged 18–59).
- Benefits
- Central old-age pension of ₹200/month (up to age 79) or ₹500/month (80 and above); widow and disability pensions of ₹300/month; a one-time ₹20,000 family benefit on the death of the primary breadwinner; and 10 kg of free food grain per month under the Annapurna Scheme for eligible seniors not covered under the old-age pension — actual amounts often include an additional state government top-up.
