How This Works
In “Path length” mode, the points are connected in order and the total distance from the first to the last point is measured. In “Perimeter” mode, the line is also closed back to the first point, giving the perimeter of the shape they enclose — the boundary-length complement to our Map Area Calculator, which measures the area inside instead.

Is this a straight-line or road distance?
